Ryleigh Potter, Missing 17-Year-Old Teen Family Urgently Seek Help in Locating Her

Authorities, family, and friends are appealing to the public for help in locating 17-year-old Ryleigh Potter, who has been reported missing since the afternoon of Saturday, August 9, 2025.

According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, Ryleigh was last seen around 2:00 p.m. in the Bowie/Crownsville area. On August 11, 2025, at 3:13 p.m., police issued an update stating she was last spotted in the Carroll Park section of Baltimore City and released a recent photo to aid the search.

Ryleigh is described as being 5’1” tall, weighing approximately 115 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes. She has a distinctive tattoo of an eye on her right arm. At the time she was last seen, Ryleigh was wearing a grey tank top, a black undergarment top, black sweatpants, a black knit hat, and dark grey slide sandals.

The search effort is expanding across multiple areas. Police noted her last known location was either at the end of Bell Tower Drive or on Johns Hopkins Road at St. Stephens Church Road in Crownsville. Family members and volunteers are actively combing the area, reviewing potential surveillance footage from the past 48 hours in hopes of finding clues to her whereabouts.

The community is being urged to remain vigilant. Anyone who has seen Ryleigh, knows her current location, or has relevant information is asked to contact the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Western District at 410-222-8610 or call or text 911 immediately.

The family is pleading for the safe return of their loved one. “Please keep Ryleigh in your thoughts and prayers, and help bring her home,” one family member said.

This is an active missing person investigation, and every piece of information could be critical. Residents in the Crownsville, Bowie, and Carroll Park areas are encouraged to check home security cameras, dashcam footage, or anything that might have captured activity on the afternoon of August 9.
